Why does it cost so much?
It costs $24.99 to create a private group for the 2025 season. You can then send your friends the group code and up to 49 friends can join your group for free.
I totally understand if you think the cost of creating your own group is too high.
However, after running this pick'em game for 2 seasons I do think it is worth it. The group chats and conversations my group has been having around this game have been fun for the whole season.
A few other considerations:
- I am a one-person team (you can probably tell from the design)
- I cannot fund this myself
- I want to keep it small for right now
- There surely will be bugs and I need to keep them manageable
- I do not want to be overwhelmed with requests or issues
- I intentionally picked $24.99 because it is slightly lower than the cost of F1TV ($29.99 as of January 2024)
- Is it the right price? Who knows 🤷
- Might be too low... it will probably take 80 groups to just break even
